ACNM MEETING MINUTES-     Region VI, Chapter 1

I.                     Meeting called to order

 

II.                   Quorum established- 9 members in attendance

 

III.                  Previous minutes approved

 

IV.                Report from officers:

 

Denise Gershwin (Chapter Chair)

 

·         Treasury update for Brooke Ray-  We need money!!   If you have not paid your dues for 2006/2007-please do so. Current dues are $35.00/yr

     

·         We will update our member list and send a letter out explaining the importance of supporting the local ACNM Chapter for those who are practicing CNMs in the community.  You do not need to attend meeting to support the Chapter with dues.

 

V.            Old Business:

• Ideas discussed again for increasing membership. Individuals from various CNM practices encouraged to speak to their co-workers about participation in local Chapter activities 
• 2 XL T-shirts left from last year’s March of Dimes walk. $20/piece.     
• Chapter Website update-Sharon Meng will be re-designing our website. Please contact her with new ideas or specific requests.

 

VI.                 New Business:

·         March of Dimes Walkamerica—April 28^th at Balboa park

·         New Tee-shirt will be designed-watch website for link

·         Volunteers needed of organizing and recruiting

·         Register at www.walkamerica.org   click on “new” or “returning “walkers—SIGN up with American College of Nurse Midwives Team.

·         Lobby Day- April 23^{rd. 2007} in Sacramento CA

·         ACOG meeting May5th-9^th—contact Lisa Summers

·         ACNM Annual Meeting in Chicago IL- May 25^th-31^st, 2007
