The philosophy of the San Diego ACNM chapter is to:
- Give support and encouragement to concerns and interests of nurse-midwives and students

- Support and promote communication and professional achievement among nurse-midwives

- Encourage nurse-midwives to be active participants in functions relating to the ACNM

- Promote communications with organizations which effect maternal-child care

- Support and promote the philosophy of the ACNM
